Dear Blog Users
I am the first learner registered for the Lifewide Development Award and I am helping to pilot the tools, like this website, and techniques being used to encourage and support lifewide learning. I began the award in September 2012 and submitted my synthesis account of my learning and development in September 2013.
My blog was written as I made the transition from school to university, a time when I needed to become more independent as I left the security and comfort of my family and home and the organised timetable of school. The Award helped me identify how I wanted to develop and why and my blog helped me record some of my experiences that have helped me develop myself.
Throughout this period I shared my reflections with my mentor and had a number of conversations with him which were recorded.
